Hemp Plant Biomass Energy Value Page 19

Biofuel Energy, January 2012-There’s a New Biofuel Crop in Town Work by Agricultural Research Service scientists in Florence, South Carolina, suggests that farmers in the Southeast could use the tropical legume sunn hemp (Crotalaria juncea) in their crop rotations by harvesting the fast-growing annual for biofuel. In 2004, when there was ample rainfall, the resulting sunn hemp biomass yield exceeded 4.5 tons per acre. This is equivalent to 82.4 gigajoules of energy per acre—close to the energy contained in 620 gallons of gasoline and well in the ballpark of other bioenergy crops, which have yields of anywhere from 30 to 150 gigajoules per acre. The higher heating value of sunn hemp biomass exceeded that of switchgrass, Bermudagrass, reed canarygrass, and alfalfa. And although reduced rainfall resulted in lower hemp biomass yields in 2006, sunn hemp’s higher heating value for both study years was 4 to 5 percent greater than that of cowpea.

Hemp Infrastructure Lessons Page 15

This MOhemp Energy blog post will compare its business plan against the lack of planning of the Kentucky hemp farmers are now dealing with. The snippets of information from hemp.com highlight how easily the Hemp Plants grow but then what?  Without the infrastructure (hemp processing plant) they're dead in the water as far as immediate income potential. MOhemp Energy by working directly with Farmers in the growing, harvesting, and processing the Raw Hemp into actual Products for use eliminates the Kentucky Lack of Hemp Infrastructure. Here is the snippet from the Hemp.com site that backup my claim:

"There is still no successful infrastructure to allow local area farmers and landowners the distribution networks they need to supply commercial hemp product companies with their industrial hemp crop."

During the normal trips on the crop inspections during the growing seasons will be the optimum time to observe the growing patterns and use Natural Selection Techniques by collecting the Hemp Seeds from the Hemp Plants that were performing the best.

In the wild animal world this would be similar to the strong survive.
